Every skin cell contains mitochondria — tiny power plants that produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the fuel for every renewal process. With age, mitochondria slow down, cells receive less energy, and skin looks duller and less firm.
Photobiomodulation is the use of specific wavelengths of light on cells. Published research describes how red and infrared light interact with cytochrome c oxidase — a link in the chain that produces cellular energy [1]. Light of different wavelengths reaches different depths, which is why each is used for a different skincare task [4].
This is not a cream that stays on the surface. It is light that reaches the cell.
Youth Pulse is the first LED mask in the LONGIVIYA ecosystem. It complements nutraceuticals and skincare with a fourth layer — light.
The mask uses five light sources. Each has its own job.
Red — 650 nm. The most studied wavelength in photobiomodulation. Reaches the upper dermis, where fibroblasts — the cells responsible for skin firmness — are found [2]. The basis of the Skin Tightening and Smoothing modes.
Infrared — 850 nm. Invisible to the eye, reaches deeper than red. Research describes its role in mitochondrial activity and skin recovery after external stress [5].
Infrared — 1064 nm. The longest wavelength in the mask and the deepest reach. Works alongside 850 nm for fuller coverage by depth.
Yellow — 590 nm. A gentle wavelength for the look of skin tone. The basis of the Brightening mode.
Blue — 460 nm. Works at the skin surface. Studied in the scientific literature in the context of oily and blemish-prone skin [4]. The basis of the Blemish-Prone Skin Care mode.
Five spectra let you match the care to how your skin is today — not to a single task.
Switch modes with a short press of the controller button. Each mode runs for 10 minutes and switches off automatically.
Brightening. For dull skin, signs of a short night, uneven tone. After the session — skincare with brightening ingredients. Before the session, avoid products with vitamin C, vitamin A and alcohol: they are photosensitive.
Skin Tightening. For mature skin and the first signs of lost firmness. After the session — anti-ageing skincare.
Blemish-Prone Skin Care. For oily skin with enlarged pores and closed comedones. Before the session — a light moisturising lotion; after — moisturiser if skin feels dry.
Smoothing. For sensitive skin, seasonal reactivity, recovery after sun. Gentle cleansing before the session, daily sun protection afterwards.
Modes can be combined in one day — total time no more than 40 minutes.
Mask shell — rigid, follows the shape of the face. Fastened with straps over the back of the head; the strap adjusts for height.
Eye mask — a separate protective insert. Included, reduces discomfort from the light and protects the eyes during a session.
Controller — a separate power unit with a 2600 mAh battery. Connects to the mask with a cable. One button: hold 1–2 seconds to switch on, short press to change mode. Four indicators show the active mode and battery level.
The battery sits outside the mask, so the mask is light and the controller can be charged separately.

— You notice the first signs of age-related change and want a skincare tool that works below the surface
— You have combination or oily skin and need a dedicated mode for problem areas — without changing your whole routine
— Your skin reacts to the season, sun and stress and you need a gentle recovery mode
— You are looking for a home alternative to a salon LED session and want to use it regularly
— You already use LONGIVIYA nutraceuticals or skincare and want to add light to your routine
One session — 10 minutes:
When: in the morning before make-up or in the evening after cleansing.
Device care: wipe with an alcohol-free wet wipe. Do not wash under water. Store in the box, in a dry place. Do not use the mask while the controller is charging.
Run a light-sensitivity test:
Do not use the mask with heart conditions, autoimmune or oncological diseases, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with diabetes and impaired sensation, on damaged or inflamed skin, within two weeks after surgery, or while taking photosensitising medication.
The full list of restrictions is in the device manual. If in doubt, consult a doctor before use.
Do not look directly at the LEDs. Keep out of reach of children.
Why is my face warm after a session?
A normal skin reaction to light. It passes within a few minutes.
Why is my skin dry after a session?
Apply a moisturiser right after the session.
Can I use it with make-up on?
No. Skin must be clean, free of oil and residue.
Can I use it in the bathroom?
No. The mask is not waterproof.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes.
Does it affect eyesight?
Use the protective eye mask from the box and do not look directly at the LEDs.
The controller flashes white 5 times and does not switch on.
Low battery. Connect Type-C; charging takes about 2.5 hours. The indicator flashes while charging and stays lit when full.
